Had a idea a while back to make a sort of heirloom razor for my son. Found a beautiful shoulderless Joseph Rodgers with excellent condition ivory scales and contracted Mark(MyCarver) about doing some scrimshaw on them.
The blade was in pretty good shape with the exception of some pitting on the tang. Some of the pitting had to remain to keep the geometry of the tang correct and the stamps in tact. I am fine with some beauty marks on a razor to show its age.
The results blew my mind.
I will be doing another similar blade after our second son is born in February.
Enjoy.
