I received my EJ DE89L the other day from a BST purchase. I am very impressed with the overall quality of this razor....the razor is solidly built and the fit and finish of this razor is amazing....this razor is really a show piece!!!

Fine looking razor! Are you sure it's not a EJ DE89 (no lines)! Just got my DE89 from bestgroomingtools Thursday. Fantastic! Three days of excellent shaves, crystal blades. My old arthritis fingers don't like the diameter of the grip so I use the handle from my Merkur 23C. I'm sure I'll keep trying the original handle from time to time though. I think it's more aggressive than the merkur 23c and the 38c, or just closer or so it seems. First impressions anyway! When I first put it in my razor holder I got a kick out of just going in and seeing it! Enjoy your EJ!

You are correct, EJ DE89 not DE89L...I think I put that on there b/c I was just looking at one of those the other day.....
Its a fabulous razor. Incredibly elegant.
