Andrews review on the 02 seems to ring true. I love the emerald translucence and the fine nib. It was what I was looking for after using the medium nib on the platignum time.

i filled with Noodler's Air Corp and really like the blue-black.

btw, i was struggling today with the small yellow paper pads at work with the platignum. it was kind of annoying.. i am just going to deal with it though.

Jon, can you write unposted with that pen or is it to small, (smaller then say a pelikan 200 series) I usually dont like writing posted other then the m205 as the cap is very light and doesnt really bother the balance of the pen, the picturs of these pens make them appear small but it may just be perspective

with my little experience, this one is the lightest and i felt fine with it posted, but i like unposted so far.

Nice! Enjoy your new 02 Jon. That appeared in the Stock Room right after I bought mine, and I know I would be happy with either a medium or fine in these pens. A F-C medium stub or cursive italic is in my future too.

Here are a couple photos that compare an 02 to some other common fountain pens. I don't post caps on any of my pens, except for the Kaweco Sport. The 02's cap posts very deeply on the pen body, which is partly why the body has the unique shape it does. It's well balanced posted.

That looks almost like the same material as the Edison Hudson that I have. How does the tapper of the back end make it feel when not posted?

The part that tapers down sits just before the crook of my hand where to pen rests, so unposted it's a really comfortable pen for me. I can't imagine the back part of a pen bothering me, though. It's the grip section that usually makes me like or dislike the way a pen feels while writing.

The skinnier portion of the Model 02's body does lower the writing angle a little, but that's not a problem either. Just something that occurred to me, is all.

Unless I get a steal of a deal on this pen, I will never again buy a pen over $100. The Lamy 2000 I have ( which I have learned to love) was $156 when I got it, that was super impulse buy. I do prefer over all my other pens, but believe me, never again.
