A New Experiment - Shaving Daily

I have been using straights for about six months now, and don't think that I ever shaved two days in a row before this morning. I did a three passer yesterday (WTG/XTG/ATG) and a one passer (WTG) this a.m. Today's shave left me feeling very cleanly shaved, like yesterday, without feeling the slightest burn or nick. Am I on to something here? There is no reason why I generally need to shave more than every two or three days. However, based upon a singular experience, shaving more often, with a fewer number of passes per shave, may result in less wear and tear on my face. Thoughts, please.

I have the pleasure of the obligation to be clean shaven daily for work. That generally means at least five days a week. I shave every day because I now enjoy it.

I do a two pass, WTG/XTG then XTG/ATG shave. It works for me. I'll never get BBS under and parallel to my jawline, because its not worth the chase. That works for me too.

Getting good at wielding a straight is a big part of it. I tore myself up pretty well learning the craft, but now, I'm more likely to cut/irritate myself with a DE, due to unfamiliarity.

I very rarely shave 2 days in a row, not sure my skin could take it since I'm not used to it. I don't think you need to, but if you enjoy it thats a totally different story!

A lot of it is your skin. In the last three years I've probably not shaved less than twenty days. I do a four pass (WTG, XTG, XTG, ATG) shave with a straight every day with no problems. I get less irritation with a four pass straight shave than I used to with three pass safety razor shaves (which wasn't much if any irritation either.)
