It was good friend's birthday last weekend and so I took the opportunity to put together a starter kit for him to start enjoying the true art of wet shaving. He is a real guy's guy in every sense and so I figured he would be interested. To make a long story short, I put together a nice starter kit including a new DE Cadet TP-26, Semogue 620 Boar brush, RazoRock Alum, tube of Proraso green, several TOBS sample creams, sample of Cella (brick), KOS AS balm, sample of AOS sandalwood creme, sample of Osage Rub, Masters Bay Rum and a couple packs of ASTRA blades. Needless to say, I get a call a few days later and it looks like we have a new addict heading our way.
The best part of the gift was a 2 page instructional guide I wrote called "The Manly Guide of Traditional Wet Shaving". I wasn't expecting to write any more than a paragraph or so but realized I couldn't stop once I started putting down what was in my head onto paper. I included all the proper steps (pre, during, after) as well as a list of needed and optional items for a good DE Wet Shave experience.
