7:00 Gillette Blades

Hey everyone,

I was wondering about the difference between the 7:00 Gillette blades in the green package and the yellow package. I assume that the difference would be in the sharpness? Material used? Both? What are the differences between these two lines of blades?

What are your opinions of these blades?

Consensus is that they are the same blade edge, but the yellow has a coating. I assume you are talking about the green made in Russia.

Green - Super Stainless - Russia

Green - Permasharp Stainless - India

Yellow - Sharp Edge - Russia

That is all I can tell you.

Besides the Yellow being a very good blade IMO. The green super stainless is as well, but the yellow edges it out.

For me the top 7 O'Clock blades are the Super Platinum. The Blue Super Platinum seem to have vanished from the market, but the Black Indian made Super Platinum are plentiful.

These are all the Gillette 7 O'Clock blades I've encountered.

I have only used the Sharp Edge yellow 7 o clocks...
they give great performance for me for 5 or 6 shaves..... (nice and sharp)

The Czech blue box Super Platinums are my near favorite. Hard to find, but, as of last week when I received some, shavetools.com still has them.
