6,000 Cherry Blossoms For My 6,000th Post

Hi gents I thought I'd commemorate my 6,000th post by posting '6,000 Cherry Blossoms'. These first 5 pics are of the Cherry Blossoms around northern Japan. I'll post more in a reply to this thread. Enjoy....

These next 5 are of various flowers, the largest 'seated Buddha' in N. Japan, a pagoda and the Pinwheels represent children who lost their lives. These were all taken at a Buddhist Monastery.

I'm not sure what either of you mean? I set it up specifically so the reply with the second set of pics would be 6K this is 6K1.

Besides it was just a play on the many many blossoms.

I actually started a write up about "What Memorial Day Means to Me", I don't know why but I like to try and make milestone posts. I used to do the same thing when I had my blog. I just couldn't get through it, I got too choked up.

Cherry blossoms from Japan, eh? Here are some shots my wife took of the trees around DC this year (which are, for those who don't know, a gift from the Japanese to the US).
