Tonight I decided to give Sorrento a try, the shave performance with it is fairly good, but the scent is not great. Described as "like an Amalfi orange grove" whilst it does have a citrus note, it is overpowered by an unmistakable "paint drying" note. The shave left me a bit rough on the neck but that is probably due to using the R89 so I'll have to use something a bit more aggressive next

Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 OC, Al Handle, Astra SP #5
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm
Palmolive Sunday again. I got the usual super-slick lather, which went well with the open comb Game Changer. The result was a comfortable near-BBS. I think I've locked in the shallow angle and low pressure better this time.
It's worth revisiting razors like this, because the SB .84 edition took months to get from "too aggressive, bitey" to being my favourite.
Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Palmolive Stick, made into a puck

Tonight it is Muhle/MdC Monday again so I broke out the original and lathered it with the Kosmo. I'm looking forward to next week's 100th shave with the Original, though if you look at how much is gone you'd never believe I'd got that many shaves out of it. Anyway, the Rocca made a decent job of the shave though I ended up with two rough patches low on my neck. Usually they would be higher, or on my jawline so they are probably down to me.

I used the open comb again, and got a fine enough result. There's a bit of irritation creeping into the shave now... ATG probably. I'll use it again tomorrow, and concentrate on using minimum pressure.
