What's new

$251 for a Fat Boy

WOW, check out the bid history, 6 different bidders in the last hour took it from $140 to the sale price.

Every time I see something like this, I think of how many razors my dad had in the late 50s and early 60s.

I noticed the bidders tend to be fairly new... sometimes I wonder if they are using a shill to drive up perceived prices. That razor may "go" for $251, but it helps others charge $50 ("what a bargain!")

I am curious if these are really NOS (as he claims) or replated....my instinct says replated. Where else can he come across so many flawless 40 and 50 year old razors?

You guys would be surprised how much NOS stock is sitting in peoples basements and attics just waiting to see the light of day. Whenever an old store closed down and the small business inventory was just taken by family and sits waiting for the right time?

Check out the very last razor on their list. A straight with an etching of a lion in gold on the blade. That thing is beautiful. I'd almost buy that just to look at.
