It's time to sign up to our annual Christmas Card exchange!

Be as creative as you wish with your cards, or just share a simple greeting for the holidays.
It is all about the joy of getting something in the mail near Christmas that counts.

Sign up now for one of the funnest traditions in The Nib!

How It Works:
Each participant will be expected to send two cards, one to the member listed above you, and one to the member below you. The first and last member on the list after the signup cutoff date will exchange cards. Of course, you can always ask other members to exchange as well as there is no limit on the joy you can send in the mail for the holidays! Each member will be responsible for contacting (via PM) the member above and below them to get their mailing address.

To keep maintenance of the thread minimal, please copy the current list to your reply and add your name as the next in line.

Hi all, I am going to start the Christmas Card exchange a little early this year. With the way the postage is worldwide there is really no way of knowing if the cards will make it to their destinations this year. I would hope that we could get all cards mailed by say the end of November to try and give them the best chance of getting the cards to the recipients by Christmas. I actually thought about not doing it this year but I will see how we go.
So lets kick it off and see how we go:

Thank you, tankerjohn, for your card! I enjoyed the friendly scene.

I put all my B&B cards in the mail on Tuesday. Hopefully they will start arriving in people's boxes soon!

Also, if anyone reading this post would like a card, pm me your address and I will send you one, even if you aren't participating formally in the card exchange!

I received my card from @bach_rocks, thank you! Mine were mailed late, and according to the post office, things are not running smoothly. Three day priority is taking two weeks. The local hub has 30 semi loads backed up, and are running two+ weeks behind.
The clerk told me USPS normally handles 2 billion pieces during the holiday season. This year is already 3 billion.

A little poofier than I prefer
I received beautiful cards from @kcore and @TinyTim that are now hanging in my Christmas display. Thanks fellas! And thanks to everyone participating in the card exchange; its a wonderful tradition.

Yes, this is a wonderful tradition, and especially so during Covid Christmas. Thanks for your lovely card, bach_rocks. By the way, I just watched a performance of Bach's Christmas Oratorio this week on youtube. A great performance by John Eliot Gardiner and his choir in Germany.

A great big "thank you" to @kcore and @TinyTim for their BEAUTIFUL cards. Thanks for participating in this terrific B&B tradition.

@TinyTim I have long loved the Gardiner recording of Christmas Oratorio. Thanks for the reminder to revisit it again. Today I took a listen to Britten's Ceremony of Carols. I hadn't heard it in a while and I'm so glad to encounter it again.
