1986 birth year

Visited my favorite fishing hole today and came home with a big one. I found my birth year razor in the wild. It's also the correct quarter. Are the late 80's hard to find? I havnt seen many come up for sale. This was the first black beauty with the plastic base plate I have come across. I was excited to say the least when I realized it was a G-2. Just got home still need to clean them up.

Great find! I haven't been looking for long, but I haven't seen many pop up for sale. Definitely cool that you just happened across such a nice example, and correct to your birth quarter!

I was born in '88, and when I started I just kind of assumed gillette was done producing DE's by that time, so a birth year would be out of the question. However, I recently found out that '88 was the very last year produced a safety razor in the US. So my new Holy Grail razor is an I-2 Super adjustable. I can't image I'll have the same luck as you though!
