Item Description
Shavemac #441 Silvertip
This is my first Shavemac brush. I choose it because of Shavemac's reputation for quality and the aesthetic beauty of the faux ebony & nickel handle. The knot size is 25mm and the center loft is 61mm. The price was $129.20.
The handle is relatively small at 41mm but has a comfortable feel and secure grip. The metal base adds considerable heft to the handle and provides good balance to the brush when lathering.
The hair is very dense and maintains it's structure well in use. The flex is well controlled but not stiff. I think this is due to both the high density of the knot and the shorter hair around the perimeter adding support. The tips are very soft on the skin. It holds a lot of water and excels at lathering both creams and soaps. I highly recommend this brush.
