Item Description
This was my first shave with the .84-P solid bar, the more aggressive of the RR Game Changers. Two open comb bottom plates are also available. With seven or more different handles, nice choice Options.
Shave: Shower, Cold Water shave. Three pass head and face with clean up passes and light buffing. GD moisturizer eucalyptus and spearmint preshave, Voshkod (1) Noble Otter Amissa, Extra large Zenith horse hair brush 28x51, Alum block, Thayers Witch Haze, Nectar Amissa after shave.
The .84-P is efficient, smooth, and comfortable, and my second RR Game Changer razor that gave me a BBS first shave, first time outa the box. I also have the .68OC. I could not feel the Voshkod blade after about the fourth stroke right to the end of the face and head shave. This razor is smooth. The .84-P is slightly more efficient than the .68OC. Finding and maintaining the angle was very intuitive and to date my most comfortable razor, because of the angle. You use a steeper angle than the .68OC it felt like I was riding the bar, very smooth. There were very few extra passes and almost no buffing. I love this kind of efficiency. The HD handle is heavy but I find it is especially comfortable for my head shaving. There is not the audible feed back you get with the open comb, just silky smooth cutting. The .84-P is so efficient that it could easily be a one pass shaver for the non bbs crowd. You do give up that little bit of comfort. The .68OC is a little more comfortable, but a little less efficient. I feel with some technique improvement and practice I can get a little more out of each razor. I like them both and I will be getting the .84OC plate.
