Lidl G. Bellini Aftershaves

Item Description

LIDL is a discount chain and G. BELLINI is theyr "upper class" brand of men personal care products.

These alcool based after shave are offered in three flavours , PUSH (black box), TECH (silver box) and ICE (blue box) each 100ml bottle costs 2€29.

The packaging is quite good for LIDL standard:heavy glass bottle with tampon transfer writings, cardboard inner box , external box with an embossed logo and a sort of hologram and foil wrapping , maybe a bit flashy but well done.

The common ingredients are:
Alcool denaturated,Aqua,parfum,glyceryn ,peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil ,
diisopropyl adipate,propylene glycol,bisabolol,allantoin,hamamelis virginiana bark/leaf/twig extract,hamamelis virginiana water,alpha isometil ionone.

Then there are several fragrance compounds:limonene, butyl phenil methylpropional, linalool, hexyl cinnamal, coumarin, citral, farnesol, citronellol, geraniol.

If you have fragrance sensitivity my guess is that you better avoid them.

Let's talk about performance.
Good things:
-Soothes well razor burn
-The skin care and moisturizing is adequate unless you have very dry skin.

Bad Things:
-No splash stopper, the hole is too wide so you risk to overapply (of course you can use a finger as a stopper but see next point)
-The bottle is slippery especially if you have wet hands
-The alcool sting is quite strong (at least in comparison to proraso splash)
-The scent are mediocre at best:
PUSH:starts as Grapefruit and steers to a vanilla sweet floral mix
TECH:Same as PUSH less the grapefruit start.
ICE:A sort of aquatic/oceanic scent but of toilet deodorant quality

To sum up:price/performance ratio is good because the stuff is cheap but the scents are nothing special and last about 4 to 6 hours so you can't layer them with nicer scents.

If you feel to give them a try my suggestion is to go for the PUSH
or if you are into the aqua scent the ICE , the TECH can stay on the shelves.
