When on travel I won't even bother bringing a brush. Instead I'll take some non-lathering cream like Cremo or Reuzel. Both creams perform wonderfully. The only drawback is that if you do miss out on the ever enjoyable lathering ritual. However, when on travel I'm personally willing to forgo the process.
