Maggard London Barbershop today. 20 seconds to load the NEW JB Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Platinum Plus in the Red Tip. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with YSL M7 Oud Absolu EdT.

This new JB brush is a winner!

Wow, that's quite a brush, Bob. Love the handle shape. The color swaths remind me of a Panta Rei paint scheme.

Friday 12th May

Hives Sheffield razor

First shave with this Hives Sheffield made razor. It was in a sorry state when I got it one of the black horn scales had a huge chunk missing. I made an exact replica scale from black horn and re pinned the whole razor together. The shave was excellent from a 200 yr old razor.

Congrats on restoring the scale and for having that amazing razor, Brian. And I thought I was doing good with a 109 year old Gillette Single Ring!

Excellent up close and personal shot, Marty. Good looking razor. That is an interesting looking brush. Sorry to hear about the Rockwell blade performance. I've only used them in two razors, the 6S (where it lasted 7 shaves) and the Seygus (2 shaves) but haven't shaved with one since last October. For me they were ok but not a favorite.
