Tried a one pass shave today. Surprisingly effective. SAS bordering on DFS.

Another one pass shave today on a cross hatched diamond edge. CCS and out the door.

My first pass when I am using only an SR for the full shave tends to be perfunctory...

Saturday was a one pass TI 1937 shave. One pass as in I was completely interrupted about 3/4 through pass 1. I hastily finished that pass and that was it. SAS, I guess. Maybe. Nobody called me on it. Took a quick photo before starting...

My first pass when I'm granting myself only one SR pass is... fanatical. I and my open blade will show that hoe razor what shaving IS...

Today, my much neglected Dovo Best Quality 5/8 got the nod. These razors get little respect, but I have to declare that I got a very well made one. Nothing fancy, but it has a small, even bevel that supports a sharp, sharp edge. Pin tightness is just right. The jimps are maybe just sketched in, but they are there, top and bottom.

I gave it 30+ laps on 0.1u balsa and 40+ on Tony Miller linen and smooth horsehide. I had never administered an HHT to it before today. It effortlessly ate up hanging hair right across the blade, then delivered an smooth 'n' easy, highly effective, just slightly fanatical pass.
