I’m still working to refine the edge on this razor. I’m fond of some of the extras, mother of pearl, waisted tang and scale design that locks over the spine to hold the blade secure. None of it makes up for a sub par edge. A work in progress.

A nice shave off the Rugby. I guess you *can* get a sharp edge off an ILR. Not Method sharp but definitely serviceable. And no chips in the edge yet so maybe the more obtuse bevel will keep it going for a while.

User grade Novodur, soap was MWF lathered with an Omega boar, and a dab of ABC almond balm finished up a fine Sunday shave.

Solingen "Comfort 40" 5/8 - Proraso Green Pre/soap - vintage bakelite Fuller Horsehair w/stand - performed well against a 3-day growth (DFS), but still think the edge could use some work but it could be that I'm still working on my technique. I'll be a "Class B Bachelor" this coming weekend and plan to get some brush restoration and razor work done on a Geo Westerholm and a Torrey, so I might revisit the edge again then.

Warm water & soap followed by Baume.be preshave cream. Brush: Semogue Owner's Club badger Soap: Proraso white (sensitive skin), Razor: Roca 14, stropped 40 Firehose canvas, 40 leather, Post: Osma alum block and Mennen Skin Bracer.

This brush doesn't load easily, but with a little extra work will make a lather that's both pretty AND incredibly slick.
