1984 Gillette Super 109 on "9" with a new Feather. With the aggressive setting on the razor coupled with a new Feather, I was forced to slow down, focus on technique and enjoy my shave.

Slant Saturday today, and last week was the Hoffritz; so, Fatip Open Comb Slant, chambered with a Feather blade (2). On a 48-hour beard, the combo provided an excellent shave.

This combo was too harsh; it gave me lots of nicks and some bleeders, a rare occurrence for me nowadays! The razor felt good in the hand - the finish doesn’t match an Edwin Jagger, but it’s still nice, and I had no issues with the handling or the weight.
So not a great shave, but maybe next week I’ll try it with a more forgiving blade. Not quite fine enough on this occasion!
