I have 10 DE adjustable safety razors and I love each of them dearly 100%. So it's a very tough recommendation.
But if you were holding my hand to the fire I might say Gillette Super Adjustable "Black Beauty," with the short handle. But fair warning: That recommendation might change tomorrow. It's not etched in stone.

Mergress/Progress is very good, a smooth shaver. The Rex is probably my favorite overall.
Vintage favorite would be Fatboy.

I have a bunch and my Super 84 tops them all, vintage and modern, even edging my beloved Gibbs.

@Clouds you are one of the people enticing me in the Taiga! I know we’ve had conversations on the Gibbs and believe you’re a real fan of the Super Adjustable 84 too. I’m going to have to get the Taiga in SS or Ti.
Imo Slim (also Black Beauty) feels better than the Fatboy. My favorite Gillette adjustable is my F4 Toggle, my favorite non Gillette adjustable is this one:

My favorite is the Parker Variant, tried Black Beauty (good but too mild), Slim and Fatboy was not impressive to me.

Nice thread! The only adjustable razor I have is Merkur Progress and it's fantastico.
Best cheap razor: Slim.

Lotta haters on here but I much prefer the Fatboy to the Slim or the black beauty.
