Your dirtiest new acquisitions ever... (and did they clean up well?)

Recently got a Slim Twist razor (£8 and it came with a case in good condition) off Ebay (There were no extensive photos of it on the auction):



Now... I have cleaned it up (Will post the clean shots later)...

Anyone got any bad ones?

Nice Razor I found it a very mild shave (maybe something to do with the weight), it'll clean up fine.

Here's one of my grubbiest finds, it's an English Aristocrat #15 (?)


Came up alright in the end. Teeth are somewhat bent but its shaves real nice!

Cleaned up (I have to say, lots of soap and elbow-grease was needed!!), and generally, it's ok:


Under-side is lovely, but the top of the head is just ok:


Seems to be some plating loss on the sides though:


But, for £8.50 with a case... I think was ok...

Just completed a dramatic and satisfying clean-up. I'd long wanted a single-ring, it's easy to see why this one wouldn't inspire a bidding war:

But it looked like it still had some plating and might clean up nicely.

here it is after three bouts of Scrubbing Bubbles and about five rounds of the foil/soda treatment. No Maas polish as yet, but the photo doesn't really capture how nice this turned out. A great little razor:

This was my pity purchase. I actually felt sorry for it.





This was after cleaning it. Maybe someday I'll see about getting the case replated and relining it.

I have cleaned up a few dirty ones...I enjoy transforming them...and you can usually buy them cheap
