you could also see if your hometown library wants then. They and other types of documents, to include personal journals can be and are considered primary source material for future/current historians.

Keep them. My college one got soaked in a basement flood. High school one is in a box in a closet. My Mom still has my Dad's from 1957. In a book shelf.
