Would you take a cruise on the Titanic II?

An Australian company announced plans to build a cruise ship called Titanic II, a replica of the sunken original. Would you sail aboard the Titanic II if given the chance?

I'd do it! Technology has advanced a little bit in 100 years don't ya think? plus they said there will be enough life rafts for everyone on board (their words not mine). Also likely a few less icebergs.

I was on that Carnival ship at Christmas and it was nice enough but not as nice as the previous trip we took.

I would. The first one sunk mostly out of stupidity, not because the ship was poorly built.

Why are cruises so popular with Americans? I have never been on one, so I am just curious.

I would not go on any cruise ship. I have read a little too much Clive Cussler, in addition to the factual outbreaks of Norwalk virus, ships being dead in the water, a ship foundering on reefs because her captains took stupid risks, cruise ships being shot at by Somali pirates, etc etc etc. I personally don't like the idea of huge cruise ships. If I'm on a boat, I want to be able to fish, in addition to the feeling of being closer to the water, not 10 stories above it. Now if they made a replica of the Bonhomme Richard (the original, not the Wasp-class amphibious assault vessel or the aircraft carrier) I'd sign up.
