Would you buy a towel warmer?

...like a towel steamer at the local massage parlor, or the local Art of Shaving store. Would you buy a towel steamer? I have been a proponent of the hot towel on the face AFTER lathering for some time now..(i.e. lather, hot towel, relather, shave.) Inspired by the Art of Shaving's "royal shave" where they apply a steaming hot towel from the towel warmer, I can honestly say I am considering it. The price would have to be right though, like an eBay bid or something. Your thoughts? Does anyone own/use one for shaving purposes?

Thats what a microwave is for... :wink2:

No. I like my shaves to be fairly straight forward. Hot shower, face lather, shave, done. A towel warmer would just complicate the process for me.

I would have to agree with Foyle. I think you enjoy it so much because it's a treat, It's not something you get all the tyme or daily, i too think it would just complicate the shaving process.

I've used a microwave to heat up a towel on those rare occasions when I want to relax and forget about everything else other than a shave. It's been a LONG time since I've done this and I think it might be about time to revisit it.

Right now, no. There was a time as a newbie that I would have in a heartbeat if I had run across one in the store. But at this point I don't think I would. I like my prep routine and I just don't need to complicate it anymore. I suppose for weekend shaves it could be nice but I'm not sure I could justify it.

Toothpick

Needs milk and a bidet!
nah, not I. I've been getting great, perfect shaves without it. Really don't need to add one more step to a flawless routine.

If you asked me before I tried CWS I would have absolutely purchased one. However, my cold water experience was so good I converted. I would suggest trying CWS first, if you haven't already, before buying that at least.

I have a towel warmer in my laundry room...it's called a clothes dryer.
But in all seriousness, I probably wouldn't buy one. Just not my gig.
