I received a can of Gillette Comfort Advantage shave cream/gel and decided to shave with it, so I prepped my face in the usual way, and applied it. Two uncomfortable passes later (using my gem 1912) experiencing lots of drag, I retired the cream, and finished the shave using the Williams Cake Shaving Soap and got a wonderful two more passes.

Hey, just because YOU can't make it work, doesn't make it suck!
It's terrible, life is too short for cheap, hard to lather soaps, and the scent is like bug juice and toilet bowl cleaner.
You don't get the Zen that is making Williams perform. It's all about the journey, and it works for me!

I wonder if I could mill some Williams and scent it with the Veg, kind of a Van Der Spice version for the fans of these fine products...

Wait it's possible for something to be worse than Williams? How is that possible, that's like saying there is a car worst than a Yugo!!
I can get a decent shave out of Barbasol Canned Foam, even it is preferable to Modern Williams in my book.

maybe it's the water but for me Williams is a lather monster immediate suds and a smooth shave 
and I loved my Yugo
