Woody's Exfoliating Pre-Shave + Shaving Before A Shower?

1) Has anyone tried Woody's Exfoliating Pre-Shave?
2) What are the benefits of showering AFTER your shave, I feel as though my face gets dry after a shower and I find my skin drying out quicker, thinking about trying to shave before I shower

I've never heard of Woody's. If you shower after you shave I would still recommend washing your face before you shave to clean and prep your beard area. Maybe try a cold (cool) water shower and shave; some say it doesn't dry out your face as much and then you could shower before you shave. I myself also have great luck with it

1. Don't know Woody's so I can't help there.

2. When I shaved with a cartridge, I would nearly always shave before showering in the mornings. Now I shower first and use my shower time to do my shave prep as well.

Yes!! I have tried Woody's Exfoliating Pre-Shave and it is FANTASTIC!!! It's not like any other pre-shave product I've used. It's thick and rather viscous, and it is somewhere between peanut butter and wood glue in texture and color. It has an interesting scent, too. But--this stuff WORKS!!!! I have a heavy beard and have been through many products. This one works the best of all so far. Sometimes I combine it with putting first a layer of American Crew pre-shave oil, which is also a great product with a wonderful clove scent. Then put the Woody's, but the Woody's alone is enough to get the job done right. It dries up kind of quickly so work fast. But the result is the key thing. My face have never been treated so well. You get a close shave and the skin is smooth and unharmed. AMAZING STUFF!!! I rinse with cold water and apply Brave Soldier Code Blue after shave gel--another INCREDIBLE product--and I am just such a happy guy! I cannot recommend either product too highly.
