It is silver tone, it is not real silver so it may lose its plating fast and the bottom layer material may be irritating to your skin.

Looks like my Concord razor, probably exactly the same.

It's a good but lightweight razor. A little more agressive than a Tech.

Please make sure the blade is even on both sides when it's inserted.

Well, I'm not sure why I bought the Silver Tone (poor judgment), but I did buy a Lord 1822, which sounds like it may be a good noob DE razor.

The Lord LP1822 is a really nice shaver (YMMV and all) and my most used razor while it is competing against Gillettes, Merkurs, Mühles and EJ's. Not the best looking one nor the best build quality but made well enough (mine is 4.5 years in use) and a pleasure to use. So far it is the only new budget razor I can recommend, together with the even cheaper Lord S625 (Smart) with the same head.

I received deliery of one of these "Silver Tones" from Amazon yesterday and it is indeed a Rimei in lovely garish packaging

It's only the third DE razor I've tried, and slightly heavier (40g) and more aggressive than the other two I've used but I was very pleased with the results and it looks quite snappy too!
For less than £5= I'm more than satisfied with this and the build quality is fine as well.

I grabbed a few since they are so cheap with free shipping, and I've been shaving with one for a few weeks with no real issue. Catch them when the price drops below $3. Granted I only have 5mos experience in DE and can only compare this to a few razors, but they work, are inexpensive, and I don't care if I drop/dirty/scratch them. My next move is to hand them out at the office with some Astra SP and this forum's URL, like a drug dealer fishing for addicts, the first one is free!

I finally used mine after 3 months on the shelf. I did a side-by-side test with an English-made Tech. The Chinese razor did slightly better (although I think the Tech had a bad blade). As everyone said, it is a very mild razor. Following Backslash, I plan to give it away with a few Astra SPs with instructions to google "sharpologist."
