Wife loves ARKO, hates my fancy stuff

I really like the smell of TOBS Eaton College, so shortly after buying the cream, and I shelled out for the matching AS. A couple of week ago it occurred to me that my wife had not commented on the new scent, so one night, after a shave I asked her what she thought. I got a big thumbs down.

The following night I shaved with ARKO and splahshed on some Clubman, both of which I didn't care for. They both of perform well, but I don't love the smell of either. In fact, the only reason they were in rotation was to use them up. Of course it would turn out that my wife LOVES this combination and commented on it immediately.

Guess I better get used to the smell.

Have you ever been treated in a Turkish bath (hamam)? The soaps they use to scrub you smell exactly like Arko. There's no other smell!

Arko lathers great but it dries out my face so don't use it very often.

Put Arko on your face then load your brush with a glycerine based soap like Conk.

You will get the best of tallow and the best of glycerine in a single shave.

My wife like the scent of Arko , she also loves Tabac. She uses Arko and a lady gillette to shave her legs.
