Why do you like agressive razors?

My preference is for moderately aggressive razors like a WR2 1.25 or Blackbird. A nice, pleasant amount of blade feel, and an easy two pass (with the grain, against the grain) shave.

I have both of those razors. The blackbird is a couple ticks less aggressive. I can get much smoother with the wolf with the same amount of passes. Both are great every day shavers but the blackbird is definitely the one less prone to hurting you.

Until recently I would have passed on this thread and then I began using my Blackbird SB. While the Blackbird is considered blade forward and also aggressive by some, I have found the blade feel not too extreme and the razor overall smooth and efficient.

The lesson for me is to not prejudge, but also to refine your technique before using a more aggressive razor. The results may be surprising.
