I got a B-17 simulator once. Turns out you have to actually be able to fly a B-17 to use it ... I have enjoyed taxiing. Sometimes.

You need aviator shades and to be chomping on an unlit cigar - else it just wont fly !! ...
The box shows black and fiery puffs of 88mm flak as the Queen of the Skies bores in over Berlin ... my experience varied. Once I taxied in a circle - I think.
And THAT's why these low-bit games are fun - you can just play them, not get a college course, learn to fly for real, etc.

Silent Hunter Sub games were always my favourite - sitting alone wearing headphones at 2am going "Shhhh..." to nobody (pre-internet gaming) as you try to stay quiet and sit out a depth charge attack ....
