Ok new guy question !!! Ok so I'm about a few months deep into DE shaving and I keep pondering this question and can't seem to figure it out. Why are DE blades numbered 1-4 on each orner of the blade ? I know this may be a dumb question but stuff like this keeps me up at night. Thanks for any input !!

Really there is a "correct" way to put a blade in based on numbers ? How do you do this ?

I thought it was to show you how many shaves you had on a blade...
In all seriousness that is actually kinda what I thought the numbers might have been for. you know flip the blade after each shave and replace at #4....... I don't know in my simple mind that makes sense.

Actually, I was just wondering that this morning when I opened up a new blade to put in the razor. Just never asked.
We all start somewhere right? no shame in asking a legitimate question.

The first month I was following the numbers, shave with #1 then #2, #3, #4 then toss the blade. Strange huh?

It's really ironic though that there are 4 numbers on each side and it so happens that I get appx 4 shaves out of one blade..... hmmm I think this is some kinda mind Fu*% from the blade mfg's to make you think the number 4 even though we may be able to get 5 or 6 shave out of their blades.
