Who uses a pre-shave before face lathering with a stick?

Since I started face lathering with a shaving stick, my Proraso Pre/Post hasn't been getting much love. Anyone incorporate a pre-shave into their routine when using sticks?

just the usual hot towel setup. A goot hot towel prep is a mighty thing to behold

I still use my pre shave oil before rubbing a stick over my face.

I use hair conditioner in the shower, but I rinse it off before applying the shave stick.

I use Chandrika soap (70% cocos oil) as a prep for the stick.

I do, but then I don't rub the shave stick over my face. I pick up the soap from the end of the stick with my brush and then lather is on my face.

I use the Castle Forbes Pre-Shave regardless of whether I'm using a shave stick directly, face lathering from a puck or bowl lathering.

I generally skip the pre-shave when using a stick.

Yep i still use my pre-shave Proraso whit my Arko stick

I am a true believer in pre-shave oil. I make my own following a recipe I found in a post to this board. I find it useful regardless of whether I''m using a soap puck, stick or cream.

Very cool. I'll put some Proraso Pre/Post on my face tonight before I lather up my Erasmic stick.
