Although I think you get more bang for your buck with Japanese cruisers, I own 2 Harleys. I have a 2005 Ultraglide, and a 2004 Vrod. The Ultraglide is great for long distance touring provided you fing a good aftermarket seat (like a Russell), the stock seat is a torture device. The Vrod is great fun around town, and for trips less than 75 miles. It is very quick, but the seating position can wear on you after an hour or so.
