who is the most cheap razor

I can manage a passable shave out of the single blade BIC disposable that the gym sells for .99c. Have to keep the lather really thin and runny though or it clogs beyond remedy.

The BIC yellow :thumbup1:

Speaking DE's, a shaver grade TECH can be had for ~$5.
Team it up with a Feather & you have a mean whisker-whacker in your hand!

I would say the Lord Tech, the Lord Smart , the Feather Portable and Popular are quite cheap razors to buy, all under 20$ and of good quality.

The cheapest razor is the one you use over and over again. EJ 89L or Parker 22r or Merkur 38c are ALL cheaper than an endless stream of disposables after a while. I could see using any of these three for years and years.

Check the marketplace on this forum. Lots of restored Gillettes that go for very little due to either being common or low demand (tech, slim adjustable). You can probably get something in very good condition for 20$/shipped. These are great razors, and the only reason they go for so low is because users are either cleaning out their collection or bought a horde from antique shopping, gave them a quick restore, and turn them right back around and onto the market.

There is a brand that I can get at Rite Aid that has the same container as the Personna blades but they are half the price. Half of $3, but half none the less.

Mercur 34c.It will easily last you 40 years so it will cost you $0.002/day (asking price for a new one is $34 divided by 365 days x 40 years). The net present value will be around $0.0002/day since inflation will easily eat it up.A box of 100 DE blades will easily last you for 2 years and it can be had for as low as $7 (SHARK SS) this is REALLY cheap.

https://youtu.be/mxQ_H3D6-5k is about as cheap as I have found.

I have used a few cheap shavettes that did the job okay. Plenty of old Gillettes on fleabay for under $10, and you can also keep an eye out for them at garage sales, flea markets, etc. The grimiest, dirtiest, grungiest razors can all be cleaned up and sometimes you find a great razor underneath all the filth. Apart from Gold Dollars, I probably have 15 lbs of straight razors. Nearly all came from ebay and only a couple cost me more than $30. I have bought Gold Dollar #66 straights for as low as $3.07/each, free shipping from China, but as a general rule they need to be heavily modified to shave well. YMMV on this because some guys just hone and shave with them. The Bic Metal is a pretty good single blade disposable, and is cheap as dirt.

I bid on a razor identical to this, (minus the blades) at auction on eBay and won it for €3 including delivery from Hong Kong to Spain
I've seen an identical razor and case, but with a Dorco label on Amazon for a lot more
It's basically a JunJie "Gillette Tech copy" razor, which go for about €2 on eBay, but for €1 extra I got a sturdy, lightweight travel case
It's solid and fairly heavy, so I think the handle is solid brass, aka "copper alloy" plated with chrome
The handle itself looks very similar to the handle on a Weishi, and the deep knurling provides a steady grip
It's a bit on the mild side, but with a good blade and the correct angle it shaves like a pro
The nam "Nutnut Retail" probably means something different in Chinese !! lol
For the price I paid, it's a keeper !!

On a whim, I bought a DE razor on Ebay for 99 Cents. All plastic, flip-cap. Postage included on the slow boat from China.

Got to admit it shaves great. Pretty aggressive, very light, long handle, above all incredibly loud audio feedback and great tactile feedback to let you know you're hitting it just right.

Gives me a very close shave without irritation every time. What more do you want? Cool? Yeah, it lacks that much.

This is a good one to bring back, though. It's not so easy to find a $5 razor on auction sites, anymore. However, it's not too hard to find a decent vintage razor at or under $15 (shipped within CONUS). If that baby is working when she shows up, she'll keep on working after you're long gone. You can find some in the wild for even better prices than that. On a per use basis, that's the way to go.
