Which soaps are compatible with which bowls?

Like, if I have a D.R. Harris bowl, will Cade fit? How about TOBS? C&E???

Would it be possible for people to list what fits in what??

BTW, I'm referring to "domed" soaps in general here. Most flat soaps fit the Kingsley Bowl or the Anchor/pyrex dish; TGQ, MWF, etc.

EDIT: All of the sudden, I feel like a moron. I have the cade and DR Harris bowls. :facepalm: Why don't I just try them myself????

All soaps fit all bowls....

Just use a knife or grate them.

Once my TOBS shave cream tubs are empty , I save the tub and put a TOBS soap into it. The soap fits perfectly inside. This works will because I have a container for my soap with a lid .It also floats in the sink ful of hot water in my sink to keep the lather warm between passes.

I bought a bowl from C&E it's an Edwin Jagger bowl, my Trumper's soap fit perfectly in it.

FWIW,

diameter:

Cade = huge
C&E = medium
DR Harris = small

NOT COMPATIBLE AT ALL. NONE.

Trumper's, T&H, Penhaligon's (New) and C&E are interchangeable.

Floris and TOBS are interchangeable.

Penhaligon's (Old) and D.R. Harris are interchangeable.

What about the middle Penhaligons with tallow 5th? I mean, is old the tallow 1st or 5th, and is new the tallow 5th or non-tallow or what?

I updated the post in the other thread to mention that's the tallow 5th, since you've indicated they're different.

Tallow 1st and 5th are the same bowls, by 'new' I mean the current tallow free formulation with the generic bowl.

Vintage Fire-King milk glass bowls work nicely with Harris soaps. I also have an unbranded flared rim milk glass bowl that is a perfect fit for Penhaligon's. IMO the vintage milk glass bowls are a lot more attractive than the newer clear Anchor bowls.
