I normally favor NACET blades, one of my very favorites. I must have gotten a bad one because I had to throw it out after one shave and that shave was not all that good.

I'll never understand, how is it possible to shave more than 3 times with the same blade.

For me it's 2 max, 3 and I get redness with the blade, I have a sensitive skin.

Those who shave 4, 5, 6, 7 and even 10 times with the same blade scare me.

Unless the blade seems useless I usually try for six and leave it at that, even if the blade feels as if it has more in it.

But I do have a Bic Chrome Platinum on it's 18th shave, which I'm saving for more, mostly out of curiosity. It's generally a case of finding which razor will take it just that little bit further. Just a bit of fun really. I sometimes get a bit of soreness (not redness) but it's always gone in half a day.

Are you confident your prep is on form? I find a soap that gives me a thick protective lather can make quite a difference.
