Where do you look to find information about manufacturers?

I just found an old straight razor that my mother purchased many years ago at an antique store? I have searched the internet to find information on the manufacturer(s) but have no luck? Where else can I look to find information? The box has Union Cutlery Co. Inc. Olean, N.Y. on the front. I have found information about this company but the tang has Aviator Wedge on one side and Aviano Brothers Patchogue, N.Y. on the other. I can't find anything for them? The scales appear to be Bakelite and has Aviator Wedge engraved on one side. The top of the box matches with Aviator Wedge. Any help would be appreciated.
