When to move on? - Blade Trials

So I started DE shaving with a box of 100 Shark Super Chromes, and though I had some irritation at first, my technique has improved and I can now get irritation-free BBS shaves.

I recently tried Astra Platinums in my Merkur and DE89 and had some irritation on my neck both times - is it time to move on or should I try to finish out the blade? Also, these were two new blades in each razor.

Separately, if I'm pretty happy with the Super Chromes, what should I try next?

After my initial batch of local brands I tried Feathers, Astra SP, GSB, and 7 o'clock Blacks. I love them all so narrowing it down from here is hard.

If you like the Sharks, you'll probably like Lord Racers and BiC Chrome Platinum blades. Set a lofty goal for yourself to try every blade currently available. Have fun testing!
