When buying refills/individually wrapped pucks...

What's the best method to use them if I don't have the original container available?

No idea whatsoever since I'm trying soaps for the first time, so any tips will be greatly appreciated :001_smile.

You could:

-Wait that a container is available
-Fit the puck in a mug (grate it if it has tallow, glycerin based puck can be zapped in the microwave)
-Use a bowl instead of a mug
-Buy some containers at IKEA/Supermarket/dollar store
-Get some German Army butter containers

I found some little food containers at Walmart in the baby section where they sell feeding bottles and sippy cups and stuff. They are made by "the first years" and are about 3 1/2" in diameter and 2" high. I think it was a six pack of them with lids for about $6. they work well and I like the lids so you can stack em up.

If you just wander around Target, Wal-mart, pawn shops etc, you will find a great soap bowl in no time.

I just bought a small ramkin thinking that it would fit one of my soaps, and it is the most perfect fit for my Provence Sante that I could ever imagine!
