What's Your Go-To Shave Set Up

When you absolutely need to have the best possible shave, what's your go-to set up. Currently mine:

Hot shower, scrub face with Nivea moisturizing cleaner.
Proraso (any) or Speik cream thats been warmed up in hot water.
Badger brush
3 passes with an Astra SP in my Gillette Tech. Blade will be new or 1 shave on it.
AS: If its a date - Musgo Real. Or Speik followed by Clubman classic on the neck only. If its business, Speik. Business Christmas Party: Clubman Bay Rum.

I had one of my (if not THE one and only) best shaves of my life yesterday so I'll just post what I used then.

Speick (grated in bowl and soaking in water)
Semogue 830
Coles travel slant razor
Feather blade (2nd use)
Speick Aftershave

The Speick never disappoints me

Gillette NEW, long comb with a fresh Astra SP.
Proraso Green tub.
Proraso AS or balm, or Clubman, depending on the occasion.

I don't have much in terms of shaving gear and untill now just experimeted with differet blades, but heres my best set-up:

D.R. Harris Arlington soap
Pass of alum, quick splash of Proraso

My answer would change several times each month. But I can tell you about an outstanding shave of my coarse 76 year old beard I had this morning with moderately hard water.

Washed face once with soap and water
Williams (current formula) mug shaving soap
Badger hair brush
Large and heavy Barbasol razor from the 1930's
A CVS DE blade that had 3 previous days of shaving on it
Three pass shave
Barbasol AS lotion, followed by body lotion sample from a motel room
Folks, eight hours later I still feel zero stubble!

There is a lot of gear I like but the set up below works perfectly for me.
Merkur 38C with an ASCO blade
VDH Glycerine soap
Semogue 1305
Thayers Witch Hazel

EDIT!
I forgot - if I want the best shave, shave soon after a heavy, long aerobic workout. With the face still red hot and sweaty, wipe it down then lather it up. Everytime I do this the result are a very easy shave with incredibly smooth skin.
