What's your favourite pen for the office and why?

Quite a while ago I decided the best pen for the office was a Parker 51.
My reasons were:
1. It has a slip on cap. I like that because I'm always jotting something down quick.
2. It is built to last. I don't have to be overly careful about it.
3. It's super easy to fill.

So what pens do you guys think are great for the office?
More importantly, why?

At the office I like to use my Esterbrook Dip-Less unless I'm away from my desk then I use either a preppy or one from my case.

On the road with customers I use either a Pel M200 or my Lamy 2000 it just depends on what I pull from my case.

+1 on the 51 Marc, the other advantage is non FP users can write with it, without a lot of anxiety... from either of us.

+2 about the P51 for all counts already mentioned. The hooded nib is nice for the office as well, less exposed surface for ink to get transferred onto other stuff.

I use a Jinhao X750 with a Knox fine nib. It is a solid performer, and is cheap enough so that if someone snitches it, it won't be a major problem.

Pilot Vanishing Point.

1. It has no cap, which makes it great for short notes and easy to operate with one hand.
2. It is built to last. I don't have to be overly careful about it. It's metal, after all.
3. It's super easy to fill.

My P51 holds as the king for work for the same reasons above, the Pelikan M205 is right there though, although not a slip cap, the cap is so light it can be posted without messing with the pens balance, and since i can type and write at the same time it is better then trying to grip a cap or setting it down while I write, plus being a demonstrator I know where my ink levels are at which is good

Pelikan M205. I have other pens with nice smooth nibs (and a couple that are a bit nicer), other "trouble free" pens, others that are just the right size for my preference, and others with a large ink capacity. The Pelikan is the best combination of these that I have, however, which makes it the most practical for work.

Ha! now I must have a VP.

Pelikan 400 with M-italic nib. I use it because ink flow starts right away (no shaking, tapping, - just writes!)

You won't regret it. It would be my go-to pen at work if I had an ink that could write on crappy paper. :001_rolle

I once worked at an engineering firm where we were issued personalized, A5 size notepads with what felt like 90gsm paper. That was just for meetings, to do lists, or quick notes for colleagues. It was a nice little perk.
