Oooh, I mistook the cheese for the bun.
Anyway...looks great to me.
Hmmmm, a open faced hamburger..........the cogs are turning. Now I want one.
When I did carpet cleaning, we'd stop at a dive called Verna's in Euless, TX. They had the James Smith special. Two open faced cheeseburgers (half a bun each) covered with chili and onions. The perfect fuel for a day back busting work.Hmmmm, a open faced hamburger..........the cogs are turning. Now I want one.

touchdown (or "gooooooooaaaaaaalllll" in the vernacular of the rest of the world)
There is something I really love about them- hamhocks prvide so much flavor, and cost less than $4 for the two of them.No beans about it. That there are some beans.![]()
They finished up around 11 last night. I let the crock cool, then tossed it in the fridge. I let them cook for another 4 hours today, and the flavor was out of this world. Even the wife liked them (I generally end up eating them all myself)I was just about to ask if the beans are cooked. Looks like a good hearty (or something that rhymes with) meal.![]()
