Star of the show is my new vintage Krauss 6/8 mini straight put together by K.M. Designs. I had watched a YouTube video SOTD using a cutdown Gold Dollar by Kym and thought that would be the ticket for shaving around my beard. When I contacted him he had a Krauss blade that he had cut down which sounded better to me than a Gold Dollar. After a six day trip from the UK (record time) I shaved with it today. Gotta tell you the 2” blade is so much easier to maneuver, DFS+ shave first time using it, I’m impressed.
Used the Fatip to shave my neck, if I can’t see it I don’t attempt to shave it with a straight.
Razor was finished as requested on an ILR stone, definitely came with a great edge. The reduced blade footprint was a joy to use.
Kym was easy to work with and I would not hesitate to order another razor from him.
Kym sent me this picture before he sent the razor to me, thought I would include it since he takes much better photos than I do.
