What Soap Type Do You Prefer?

“soap soaps” for me.
I just enjoy the hard, 3x milled varieties best:
MWF, MdC, DrH, Fine (old formula), SV, Mogno

and I do also really like creams:
Proraso, Speick, SM Novella

its the in-betweens that I just dont love best, but do keep a few on-hand:
DG, Officina Artigiana

Hard soaps are my favourite. I include in this category the inimitable Speick stick, which is not a "soap soap", rather a thing of rare and unparalleled beauty; an exquisitley formed phenomena of a delicate rose hue that has a bewitching scent, completely free of any "soapiness", rather the essence of pristine alpine pastures, untrammeled by man or beast, only lightly touched on by soft, colourful birds or the gentle ministrations of bees.

That is my type of soap!

My favorite soaps are Martin de Candre, Canada Shave Soap, Mitchell's Wool Fat, Saponificio Varesino, Pinaud Clubman, WSP (Rustic and Formula T) plus several others that are used occasionally.

Also, the Cyril R Salter Tub Creams are right up there with my favorite soaps.

Not sure which category that puts me in. :)

I've been edging towards creams recently. But I also enjoy "soap soaps" and Italian croaps, I suppose you could call the croaps (Cella, TFS etc) congealed vomit haha.

When I first started being active here, I opted for the beige stuff. Creamy, yougurty shiny goodness, but they almost always have too much of the good stuff and make my face oily.
