Rushing the shave without paying enough attention to the process resulted in a number of small nicks. Nothing too bad but my inexperience with this combo definitely showed. Ah well, considered a learning experience. Just haven’t found anything better than Bolzano with this razor. I’ll keep trying though!
Brush: Graydog w/ 28mm Shavemac 2 band Silvertip
Blade: Voskhod (1) have not used a Voskhod in awhile it is a very good 1 shave blade
Soap: GD Ousia (Lamb Tallow and Emu Oil)
Razor: WR2 SS SB 1.25 w/ Timeless Ti Crown Handle
This morning after using the usual prep and products, I decided to use a '54 Super Speed. Putting a 3rd use on a Personna blue label blade, I'd have to say it was just a bit more aggressive than the late '40's SS I used a couple of days ago, but just as efficient. I'm not surprised by this; it could be one more use on the blade, normal variation in the manufacturing process, or years of normal handling on the two.
I'm finding the three Super Speeds I've tried so far, ('40's, '54 & '58,) seem to work quite well for me. Now I've got a pile of Techs I want to try.
