What is your "go to" soap after getting a bad shave?

From the post, I can see a trend forming; lanonin containing soaps seem to be the most preferred when it comes to face protection.

As of now the most mentioned soaps are the following:

MWF
Haslinger Schafmilch
Mikes natural soaps
Barrister & mann
Cold river works
Shannons soaps

All of them contain lanolin.

Good observation. Add Stirling to the list of lanolin containing soaps as well.

The best soap I have found is Billy Goat Scruff by NuLuv. I recommend you Google it and get a jar, you won't be sorry.

Obviously time off is your best bet but if you must shave then TOBS avocado "cream" is great Rx

short of taking a day or two off...TR Cardamom is a great idea, so is Barrister & Mann, ABC, Savon du bon Berger stick, LA Shaving, Al's, Wholly Kaw, CRSW.

Every once in a while I try something different - a new soap, cream, blade - and pay the price for it. Terrible shave, razor burn, etc. It takes me a couple of days to recover but since I need to shave every day for work, I use either Proraso red or a Stirling soap as my "recovery" soap.

Anyone else have this experience and if so, what's your go-to recovery soap?

Captain

Proraso Green tub or Cella.

Proraso Blue. Used it today, and my prior shave (with Cella) was great. It is the most moisturizing of the Proraso line.
