What's new

what I picked up today.

I'm gonna say none of these are shave ready. But I was hoping that both are usable after I get them sharpened. I assume the golden dollar will be but the other I'm not sure of Here are some pictures and the shell just happened to be there Can anyone tell me about the non gold dollar one and if its able to be sharpened up

That blade looks like it is in perfect restorable condition. It could be sharpened as is, but you can always use a little MAAS or very fine automotive sandpaper to polish up the blade first. It is always difficult to say with certainty without seeing it in person, but that blade appears to be in good shape, and like almost all vintage blades, should shave great.

Will you be trying to sharpen it yourself? There are quite a few people here who offer honing services for very reasonable rates, and some upstanding gentlemen will even hone for free on occasion. It helps keep ones skills up to speed.
