What fragrance (if any) should I wear to a job interview?

I have a job interview on Monday afternoon & I'm wondering what, if any fragrance I should wear?

The choices that I have are Old Spice new & classic, Clubman Special Reserve, Avon Wild Country & Musk Marine, Old Spice fresh, Aqua Di Gio & Polo Green, & Stetson classic.

+1 That is the only answer that will make sure that you get a chance at that job!

No one loves frags more than me, but I vote for none. Way too many variables involved. I'm not singling out your scent wardrobe, but I can envision someone hating any of them. Same could be said of my collection.

Interviews are such that it's not worth the risk of running into someone who

a- personally hates men who wear fragrances
b- has allergies
c- has an "unwritten rule" that no one should wear a scent to an interview
d- likes fragrance but thinks your scent is "old mannish"

I think I have to agree: there is simply too much chance depending on the tastes of your interviewer that you'll end up making a statement of the wrong kind. Being well groomed and sharply dressed, on the other hand, is always a winner.

There's virtually no downside to not wearing a fragrance, but many possible downsides to wearing one. Take the safe route here.

Another vote for no scent at all. You don't know, it might be a scent free work place so you don't want to start off badly.

Depends on who needs who more. If they are recruiting you hard and want you, wear whatever you want. If you feel like you would be lucky to work for them, wear nothing.

As an employer who has interviewed dozens of applicants I would recommend no fragrance at all. Be clean and well-groomed and let your presence and interpersonal skills speak. No distraction or focus on anything other than you.
