Razor: Schick E2 Special Introductory Kit, Black handle
Blade: Personna Injector
Brush: Rudy Vey 2022 B & B Contributor Brush
Pre-Shave: Proraso White
Lather: Caswell-Massey Number Six
Aftershave: Pinaud Lilac Vegetal
Additional Care:
Thayers Facial Tonic Witch Hazel Unscented

Rating 9.8. I gave myself a nick, but overall it was a great shave!

Sledgehammer Sunday

Pre-shave: shower, Jack Black Pure Clean
Cream: T&H Trafalgar
Brush: Elite High Mountain White
Razor: Merkur 39C; Nacet (3)
Post-shave: cold water splash, Jack Black protein booster, T&H Trafalgar balm
Aromatherapy: T&H Trafalgar cologne sample

No-nonsense, clean Sunday shave. First pass I could have had a bit more water added to the cream. That or the Nacet has dropped a little in sharpness as what normally takes 1 1/2 passes took 2 1/2 today. Still a nice relaxing 9.25 DFS.

Seaforth Heather soap
Kent BK4 Silvertip Badger brush
1960 Gillette 195 Adjustable razor (Fatboy)
vintage Schick Krona razor blade (4)
Pinaud Clubman aftershave
One pass on face and two on neck. In a hurry today. Not bad for what it is. I’ll say a SAS for an 8/10.

Got this Merkur 37c in a PIF and it's taken some getting used to! Trying to get better at my slant technique.

Razor: Merkur 37c
Blade: Voskhod
Soap: Mitchell's WF
Brush: Trotter Timberwolf Mojito
Balm: Hurley's Methol
Shave rating: 9/10
Notes: A lot of touch up and time required, but overall got to BBS

Brush: Rudy Vey with Shavemac knot
Soap: Catie’s Bubbles Purple Grapefruit
Captian’s Choice Copper Bowl (heavyweight)
Henson Medium - V1 head
Gillette Yellow - 7 O’clock Yellow (1)
Fine Italian Citrus splash

2 pass easy, near BBS shave.

Henson is mild and efficient.

A little about the Henson and where I am with them:

I will soon compare the V1 to V2 head (I have both) as the Ti will move to V2 in a few months. That will force me to buy one Ti, but not sure if it will be medium or aggressive.

Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable 1962
Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum
Brush: Simpson Isle of Man TT
Pre-shave: Hot shower
Soap: Stirling Coconut Lime 🌴
Aftershave: Stirling Coconut Lime 🌴

I felt like something tropical today so I chose the coconut lime. Fantastic!
Also tried a non typical direction for me by shaving my neck towards the ears. Worked good and landed me a rare BBS shave. 👍
Rating: 10/10 BBS

Just a quick single pass shave today. I hadn't shaved since Wednesday so the extra growth called for an OC and a sharp blade which meant taking a break from testing out a Merkur blade and going back to a top tier BIC.
Overall a comfortable shave and close enough to look presentable!

Return to the Vector after an extended evaluation of the Lupo 95 OC. The Vector with a Kai Captain Titan Mild Pink seems on par with the Lupo. The Vector with a Feather Pro might just edge out the Lupo on efficiency but can be prone to slight irritation without care. I also have a significant amount of time on the Vector compared to the Lupo. So that conclusion may evolve over the coming months.

Where the Vector outshines the Lupo is irritation free neck shaves, when well executed. The combination of low weight head and AC blade can be delicately swept across those irritation prone areas while knocking down stubble. Almost an error free shave but caught a small nick, or possibly re-injury, on the left upper lip. There is something about the angle and blade interface of the vector that pushes the bio mechanics of my wrist and shoulder going XTG and ATG in that area. Otherwise, today's shave was a beautiful BBS.

Overall Score: 9.8/10

RAZOR: Blackland Vector SS [SB]
BLADE: Kai Captain Titan Mild Pink AC [2]

August 7

Razor: Gillette Tech (Canada pre-war) w/ common bar handle
Blade: Lord Silver Star (2)
Brush: Omega 80080 beehive boar
Soap: ARKO stick + RR Gold Label puck
A/S: DIY lemongrass witch hazel, Proraso Green splash

DFS+

ARKO August experiment #3. I'd consider this soap combo a success with improved scent and post-shave properties compared with plain ARKO. Performance was quite good with this very economical combo.

Today, just because of a comment about my dislike of my Jagger DE89 razor vs. everything else in my cabinet, I used it with a Derby blade (they'd sent some with the razor when I bought it a decade plus ago). I used Wool Fat and a Rooney made T&H silvertip brush. I had to go slower than with my Gillettes or AS-D2 but with one small nick (careless), I got an incredibly good, read BBS, shave. I just didn't enjoy it like with my other razors. But there's no arguing with the end result. Alum block after and then a new product I just learned about here on B&B: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel, an amazingly good aftershave moisturizer, and then a dollop of T&H Grafton aftershave.

Yaqi polished stainless steel sb105 razor head
Yintal polished stainless steel handle
Willy's Premium double edge blade from India, 2nd use
Simpson Trafalgar T2 synthetic brush
Baume.be shaving cream
Baume.be after shave balm. Isn't as great as the cream, gives a heavy / oily effect on skin. But I bought it, I'll finish it (within some years) using sporadically.

Great Sunday shaving, specially to great razor and blade pairing.

Doing the Shark Week PIF/Challenge.

The sharks were circling during today's shave.

Had the Sharks loaded into the razors.
Loaded the Yaqi with St. James black pepper and lime sample. Thought I had a decent lather, the lather dried out during the shave and I had to keep reapplying.
Finished off with the alum, styptic and St. James lavender and geranium. The scent was nice at first then the geranium kicked in and it smelled more of a perfume then an aftershave.

Had several opened wounds, most were stopped by the alum one needed the styptic. The sharks were nearly in a frenzy but I finished and Martin Brody got me out of the water just in time.

I need to get better at pictures but I seem to get started getting my gear together and just get on with what I am doing.

RAZOR Merkur Progress (3 pass @ 3-3-2)
BLADE Gillette Perma-Sharp (1)
BRUSH Simpson Trafalgar T2
SOAP Saponificio Varesino 70th
POST Pinaud Clubman

Second shave with the SV soap, and it's performance is pretty amazing, impressed. ❤️ Love the scent.
Brand new Perma-Sharp didn't disappoint.

10/10 Cheers!
