Pre-shave: N/A
Brush: Ever-Ready 79, Synthetic "Blood Knot"
Soap: Tabac
Bowl: N/A - Face Lathered
Razor: FaTip Grande MK2 (Gold)

Cologne: Original Stetson

WTG, ATG and XTG passes. Minor touch-up.

DFS++ with no weepers, nicks, cuts or irritation.

Third shave with the Ever-Ready 79, Synthetic "Blood Knot" brush. Synthetic brushes don't usually need any shaves to hit their stride. This knot was a little rough and difficult to splay the first couple of times out. Better this time than the last two.

All in all, a comfortable and relaxed shave.

YMMV :)

Shave 20200209

Continuing my 2020 Resolution to stop chasing BBS!

20200209_112812~2.jpg

Prep: Splashed water on face
Pre-shave: N/A
Brush: Vintage Rubberset 203 Handle, 26mm BOSS synthetic knot
Soap: Pre de Provence No. 63
Bowl: N/A - Face Lathered
Razor: FaTip Grande MK2 (Gold)
Blade: Bolzano (5 - Retired)
Post-shave: Crystal Thai Alum stick; Dickinson's Hydrating Toner
Aftershave Balm: Duke Cannon w/Menthol
Aftershave: Stetson Cooling and Moisturizing
Cologne: Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene

WTG, ATG and XTG passes. Minor touch-up.

DFS++ with no weepers, nicks, cuts or irritation.

The FaTip Grande/Bolzano combination feels "right", providing consistent, excellent results. Really good shaves!

The Vintage Rubberset 203 Handle, 26mm BOSS synthetic knot brush was a very pleasant counterpoint to the Ever-Ready brush I used yesterday with the Blood knot (supposed to be and looks like a BOSS knot). Smooth, very good face lathering.

All in all, a comfortable and relaxing Sunday shave.

YMMV :)

Razor: RR GC JAWS
Blade: Voskhod (3rd use)
Brush: Simpson Commodore X3 (first use!)
Lather: Tabac

Result: 9/10: A little red bump on my neck from who-knows-where kept this shave from greatness. No blood, no irritation though. Simpson Commodore X3 is a great brush, so soft, great for face-lathering, and holds 3 passes easy. My favorite (and most expensive) brush to date.
